Which type of ozone plates are better? MICA plates or high voltage ceramic ozone elements. The truth is there is no contest, the high voltage ozone plates are much, much better. Why? For starters, they last much longer and can produce 9 times more ozone when powered by one 4000 volt power source. MICA plates can only create about 400 mg/h due to the low voltage that runs through the thick wire mesh. If you own an ozone generator that utilized this type of ozone element, view the MICA plate in the dark. You'll notice it doesn't generate much light, very dim at best. Now view two working high voltage ozone elements below. Notice how they glow a bright blue-purple, almost like a UV lamp. This is because they can handle up to 4000 oxygen splitting volts of power in just 1 plate (powered by one 4 KV power source. This is the type of plates used in our ozone generators and for sale (to our past customers) for $15 ea.

Below is a MICA plate / wire mesh. I couldn't find a picture of it "working" in the dark to illustrate how dimly they light-up.
